Utah, Sanpete & Carbon Counties

US-89 & US-6 Closed


Northbound US-89 is closed at mile post 297, at the Sanpete & Utah County line, just North of Indianola. Southbound US-89 is closed at MP 312, Thistle/US-6 Jct. 

US-6 is closed Eastbound at the US-89 Junction in Spanish Fork, at mile post 178; Westbound is closed at the US-191 Junction, North of Helper at mile post 230. 

All closures are due to conditions related to the Pole Creek Wildfire and have No estimated time on when they will re-open.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes such as US-40 & US-191 through Duchesne or I-70 & US-50 through Salina & Scipio.


Salt Lake & Tooele Counties

SR-201 Closed


Westbound SR-201 is now open at the SR-202 junction (mile post 3), while the Eastbound I-80 exit #102 to Eastbound SR-201 remains closed. 

 The closures are due to the Black Wildfire and will remain closed until repairs are complete on damaged utilities.

 There is no current estimate on when roadway will re-open for Eastbound traffic.

Motorists are being advised to seek alternates routes such as using SR-202 or using I-80. Expect delays and congestion in the surrounding areas.

Additionally, motorists traveling in the area of the SR-201 junction are being asked not to report the wildfires as crews are already on scene.
